we look at book titles in the library and decide if they could cut it as a band name (or at least album title), and what type of music it’d suit. My favourites from yesterday:
- Twentieth Century Spiritual Letters (folksy, americana, alt-country ballads?)
- A Piece of Blue Sky (Soaring experimental symphonic instrumental breakdown)
- The Forever People (band must have 10+ members who aren’t afraid to play obscure instruments, and perferably have some sort of uniform)
- Footnotes & Headlines (electropop? or at least someone who loops a lot and builds many layers)
- The Rose-Garden Game (good ol college indie rock with a side of cello/violin)
- The New Enthusiasts (something uppity and twee pop like full of energy)
- Church & State (grungy fuzz rockyness?)
- You Are Promise (a band that does not speak English as their first language)
and of course, for the hardcore/metal fans (represent! they will melt your face)…
- Requiem For A Lost Piety
- Roads to Rome
- Penance & Absolution
- The Promise of Paradox
This makes me want to go to the library.
